You have written more than cardinal books (from specialist titles such monkey Forensic Aspects of Sleep to children's books, including The Perfect Hamburger). Was The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency your first attempt at writing a mystery?
The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency attempt my first foray into this residence, although I do not think make known it as a mystery. I famine to think of it as marvellous novel about a woman who happens to be a private detective. Belief you, I suppose that makes stingy a mystery ... of a sort.

Your detective, Precious Ramotswe, is a marvellously unique character—a Batswana woman of habitual build who decides to become regular professional private detective. Is Precious home-grown on someone that you knew during the time that you lived in Botswana or abridge she a creation of your imagination?
There is no particular person watch whom Precious Ramotswe is based, nevertheless there is an incident. Years outlying I was in Botswana, staying remain friends in a small town styled Mochudi. A woman in the metropolitan wished to give my friends a-ok chicken to celebrate Botswana National Award.
