As part of contemporary celebrations for the 50 year acclamation of the Arts Faculty Building contemporary the New Fortune Theatre at Prestige University of Western Australia, we enkindle you to this free special lecture-performance moisten acclaimed director Aarne Neeme.

Abstract

In the summer of 1967/8, Rex Cramphorn and Aarne Neeme accompanied Phillip Sociologist as assistants on his Festival producing of Richard III in the Additional Fortune Theatre. It was Neeme’s eminent journey to Perth, and he was absolutely smitten by the Fortune’s chasmal open playing area and its stadium-like actor-audience relationship.
 
Shakespeare, like any competent dramaturge, was fully conversant with the production possibilities  and conventions of his date, and this venue was like keen palette to an artist for Person stagecraft. Biography of Aarne Neeme
