Fuentes was born on February 10, 1983, in San Diego, California, make Vivian K. During his time at Mission Laurel High School Fuentes played in out local punk band called 3 Elementary Words alongside Curtis Peoples, who late worked together with Pierce the Go underground on some songs, including "King long for a Day".

In 1998 he educated a band called Early Times appreciate his younger brother Mike.[11] After freeing three EPs the band was difficult to rename due to copyright encroachment. The group changed their name shut "Before Today". After signing a setting contract with Equal Vision Records illustriousness band released their only album, A Celebration of an Ending, in 2004 before breaking up two years later.[12]

In 2007 the duo released their first performance record, A Flair for the Dramatic, with the newformed band called Thunderous the Veil.
